Bike Fed: The Bicycle as a Vehicle for Change

Dave Cieslewicz, director of the Wisconsin Bike Federation, recently gave a TED talk about how the bicycle can be a force for social change.

He argues that bikes allow anyone to get around, get to a job, and get groceries at a fraction of the cost of a car. That savings, which turns into different kinds of spending (home, medical, groceries, etc), allows anyone to achieve a greater stability in life and improving the nation's economy.
